Flanagan Food Service

The Challenge

Flanagan Food Service distributes food supplies from three separate locations to over 5,000 customers across Ontario including bakeries, independent restaurants and national food chains. To grow their business they needed a fast, reliable network to track and distribute their extensive inventory in the Sudbury, Owen Sound and Kitchener regions. They also offer an online ordering service to their customers - the system had to be secure, reliable and accessible at all times.

We began by thoroughly assessing the existing network before making our recommendations. After evaluating the network connectivity, we designed and built a WAN by extending their existing frame relay cloud. We also found bottlenecks in their LANs and upgraded their legacy 10Base T-networks with a managed switch.
