Packetworks Announces Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) Project Delivering High-Speed Internet, Voice, and Video Services to Residents and Businesses in Alma, Ontario

Packetworks president Mike Andrews today announced the official start of an ambitious new program that will see the Waterloo-based tech company deploy fibre to the premises infrastructure to unserved and underserved rural residents and businesses in certain markets within southwestern Ontario.

Packetworks’ first such deployment will be in the small hamlet of Alma, which is northwest of Waterloo in Wellington County. The Alma project, which will begin on or about August 10, 2015, will be completed over a two-year period. The Company expects to begin connecting its first FTTP customers in Alma by October of 2015.
